Graham Ibbeson
Professional sculptor Graham Ibbeson gained major public recognition with his statue of Eric Morecambe that was unveiled by Her Majesty the Queen in Morecambe, Lancashire.
His other notable commissions include statues of William Webb Ellis for Rugby town centre and the three life size bronzes – the Scales of Justice – for Middlesbrough Law Court.
He has works in many private and public collections and has exhibited extensively throughout Europe and the USA.
Graham began to refine his skills when he went to Barnsley School of Art in the late 60s and he completed his formal education at the Royal College of Art.
Graham has been a professional sculptor for over 20 years and believes his work will be around a lot longer than all of us and therefore is a legacy for future generations.
He gets his personal satisfaction if he can “reach the public’s hearts, perhaps have them shed a tear or make them smile.”
